What I shoot and create with
Canon EOS 6D Mark II
For me the Canon 6D Mark II is the ideal camera, one that does everything I need. It's a full-frame DSLR with a 26 MP sensor, weather sealing against moisture and dust, a flip-out touchscreen (without which I can no longer imagine taking photos or filming), and NFC, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi for remote control from a phone and easy photo transfer anywhere.
When I was choosing a full-frame camera suited to travel with the features above, the choice was either the Canon 6D Mark II or a mirrorless camera. Since I prefer an optical viewfinder to an electronic one, the choice was clear, and after a year of use I'm more than happy with the 6D Mark II and can warmly recommend it.

Canon EF 24-105 mm f/4,0 L IS II USM

My favourite lens, the Canon 24-105 f/4 from the premium L series. Clearly the best choice for travel: its versatility lets me cover any scene, from a wide 24 mm to a useful 105 mm zoom, with powerful optical stabilisation and fast, accurate focusing. Its sealed build against moisture and dust makes it reliable anywhere. Its quality rendering also suits filming video.
Canon EF 50 mm f/1,4 USM

Sigma 120-400mm f/4,5-5,6 OS HSM

This lens is no longer sold, but you can still find good used copies. I bought the Sigma 120-400mm purely for photographing wildlife, animals at the zoo and sport, but it's great for landscapes too.
Samyang 14 mm f/2,8

The Samyang 14mm f/2.8 ultra-wide is probably the best value for money you can get in this category. It lacks autofocus, but most photographers, like me, buy it mainly for astrophotography, where autofocus is no use anyway and you have to focus manually. It's also great for photographing interiors.
DJI Mavic 2 Pro

When you want to buy a drone today, the question isn't which brand, but which DJI… The Mavic 2 Pro is currently (October 2020) the best compact drone, with a Hasselblad camera, a 1" 24 MP sensor, a variable aperture, 4K 30fps video in 10-bit colour, obstacle sensors in every direction and much more… Beautiful photos and breathtaking video are guaranteed.
MOZA AirCross 2

DJI Osmo Mobile 3

The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 gimbal offers a large number of smart modes for video and photos (subject tracking, timelapse, hyperlapse, motionlapse, spinshot, dolly zoom, panoramas and a sea of other features). A handy gadget both for creating social media content and, with a phone with a good camera, for making serious videos.
GoPro Hero 7 Black

A GoPro is good for filming sport and holiday experiences, for action shots in more complete videos and for timelapses. Not least, I use it to film and photograph behind the scenes at motorbike and car shoots.
