My name is Filip Maňhal, I am 28 years old and I come from the Krkonoše Mountains, which have shaped my relationship with nature, mountains, and adventure since childhood. I currently live in Arctic Norway, where I work as an aurora photographer and guide in the Arctic landscape.
In my work, I focus primarily on landscape, wildlife, and aerial photography using a drone. However, my portfolio also includes portrait, product, and automotive photography. I always strive to capture the atmosphere and emotions of the moment, giving my shots a unique character and strong mood.
I travel all around the world and share my experiences, stories from photography, gear reviews, and travel tips on this website in the travel blog.

If I had to describe myself in one sentence:
“Camera in hand, mountains in my heart.”
The year 2015 was a turning point – I discovered the magic of photography, which quickly became my greatest passion. The camera became my everyday companion and opened up a whole new perspective on the world. Soon after, traveling became part of the journey, taking me to dozens of countries across continents. Since then, I have been constantly discovering new places, stories, and light worth capturing.
Since 2022, I have combined my passions for travel and photography and started working as a guide. I partnered with the travel platform Worldee, becoming one of their very first Travel Buddies.
As a photographer on trips, I strive to share my experience and proven tips on how to capture landscapes at their best – so that participants take home not only memorable experiences but also photos they can be proud of.
You can join me on adventures, gain inspiration, or simply follow my journeys and stories from behind the lens.
In 2023, I decided to fulfill my dream and moved to New Zealand for a year and a half – to the other side of the world. This incredibly diverse country immediately captivated me with its wild nature, majestic mountains, fjords, and endless pastures. It was here that I fully dedicated myself to landscape photography, outdoor activities, and capturing authentic moments of everyday life.
Besides the magic of travel and freedom, I also experienced the reality of living abroad – alone, far from home, in a completely different cultural and work environment. This experience strengthened me immensely, broadened my horizons, and confirmed even more that I want to inspire others through my life and work to explore the world.
I believe that traveling is the best life investment and a great way to truly get to know yourself.
